The 2011 Legislative process has begun, and the Board and I are looking forward to working on your behalf to put together the best benefit package we can.  It is a long process and, as always, we will not be able to please every member.  However, there may be an opportunity to make some minor changes that will benefit all of us.  With that in mind, the Legislative Committee would like to get as much input as possible from our members.  If you have an idea for a specific benefit that you would like the Legislative Committee to consider, please take the time to write it down and forward it to one of your trustees or Pension Fund staff by March 8, 2010.  The Committee will be meeting with representatives from the Fire Association, Police Association and the Retirees’ Association.  The Committee will also meet with the City of San Antonio for its input.

As you can see, we try to get as much input as possible from everyone concerned.  This is a process that has been developed over the past several years and has been very successful.  So put your mind to work and let us hear from you!
